What this demo is for
Chasing documents is not work: it is what stops work happening. An incomplete file ties up an accountant, a solicitor or a broker far longer than the file itself, and the time spent chasing is billed nowhere. This demo puts you in the role of the client who never replies — the one you already know — to show what happens when nobody at the firm has to think about it.
You pick your trade, then you move time forward. At D+3, a first reminder goes out. At D+7, it becomes specific and names the documents that are actually blocking things.
At D+14, it points to the real deadline. The tone rises, it never turns sharp: your name is on it. You can ignore it, let it run, then upload everything at once — the checklist fills in front of you and the file goes from 2 of 9 to 9 of 9.
The second view is the firm's: thirty open files, and for each one, who is missing what, without opening a single email. Nothing is recorded, no sign-up is needed, and every document named is fictional.
